      Hi all,

This is my first post so apologies if I do anything wrong. I just built my arcade using RetroPie and it was working fine. I was away for a few days and my wife and son played the machine and said that it just suddenly started displaying the following error message before every game loads...

"Usage of emulators in conjunction with ROMs you don't own is forbidden by copyright law. IF YOU ARE NOT LEGALLY ENTITLED TO PLAY [game name] ON THIS EMULATOR, press Esc. Otherwise, hit Left then Right to continue."

If I hit Left then Right the games do load but then the buttons don't seem to work for them, and some even crash. It's very strange as it was all working perfectly for weeks beforehand. I don't know if my wife and son accidentally changed something in a menu or anything or if it did just suddenly happen for no reason.

Does anyone know of this issue and what might have caused it?

      I'm running the following...

      Raspberry Pi2
RetroPie - not sure what version but it was installed fresh around Dec 2015
      Emulation Station
      Arcade controllers

this is a guess, but it might be that you've switched to a different mame emulator, possibly? the process has changed slightly since your install, but if you press a button (i think A?) whilst the game is launching you should get a menu, and then choose the option to select a different default emulator for mame, and then it will show you your current one. my guess is that if it is currently 'lr-imame4all' you want to select 'mame4all-pi', or vice versa.

        total guess, though...

Ah, interesting. You may well be right. My hunch was that my son accidentally pressed something that brought up a menu and he accidentally changed a setting, but I couldn't work out what he might have done. I'll have a look at that tonight.

          Thanks a lot!
