Is it possible to have Retropie switch a servostik from 4-way to 8-way automatically?

I know that MAME can keep info on the stick configuration of each game, is these a way to tell the servostik to automatically change based on this? I know that attract-mode has a system that can do this.

There is 3rd party support for Ultimarc products in Linux here: https://katiesnow.webs.com

As of the last update in 2016, it says Servostik support was planned.
Might be worth contacting the author there and see if any progress has been made.

So i got this working using katies software, she didn't have the json/configs in her repo but the code is there for the servostik. I just used the json config below to switch modes.

I did this using the RGB Commander utility. It sets the servo stick from 4/8 way automatically depending upon the game you launch in MAME.

DISCLAIMER: I'm using RGB Commander v.3 with one of the older RetroPie Jessie images. Haven't tested the current v.4 with the newest RetroPie 4.4 Strech image. Might be worth a try though!
