      I have an issue with saving a bezel / overlay on the NES system. It will not save by core but will save by game basis. I don't have any issues with any of the other systems including Famicom. Can anyone shed any light on why this isn't working? I am on 4.4 all latest updates

        Do you by chance have 'save on exit' enabled in the settings?

          @mediamogul I didn't see anything like that but I could be looking in the wrong place. Where should that option be?

            The option can be found in the 'Configuration' menu under the 'Settings' section. It should not be enabled, so if it's off, just leave it. Also, what are the contents of your /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg file?

              input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/Nintendo-Entertainment-System.cfg"
              input_overlay_opacity = "1.000000"
              video_force_aspect = "true"

              input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/nes/"

              #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"

                @pootis-spencer said in Issue saving overlay by core:

                @mediamogul

                input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/Nintendo-Entertainment-System.cfg"
                input_overlay_opacity = "1.000000"
                video_force_aspect = "true"

                input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/nes/"

                #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"

                This is the contents of the retroarch.cfg file for the snes which works fine. The only difference you can see is the video force aspect line.

                input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/Super-Nintendo-Entertainment-System.cfg"
                input_overlay_opacity = "1.000000"

                input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/snes/"

                #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"

                  Try looking at your 'nes' ROMs folder and see if any .cfg files are being generated for the games that should have a core overlay.

                      If you switch the paths between the two, does the NES overlay show for SNES games?

                        I have the exact same issue. Was there ever a fix? I'm trying to remove the overlay side bars for every system, especially classic Arcade games like Mrs. PacMan for my 1Up Arcade cab. screen. Thanks in advance.
