      Hi, I’m new to the Retropie scene, I recently bought a Raspberry Pi 3b+ and a preloaded SD card with ROMS and Emulators and at first I was able to setup everything nice and easily within the first two days I have a new setup of Retro Gamepads that initially worked well but since I’m new to Retropie I did some prodding around in the settings and now my controller configurations that I change no longer save, I’m asked to reconfigure my Gamepads on every startup which wasn’t the case before and when I come out of the Retropie settings menu after reconfiguring my controller, my Gamepad gets bricked and I am unable to move or leave the menu, one thing I want to clarify too is that I don’t have a USB keyboard yet but will be getting one shortly but I’m curious as to why these problems are arising now? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

        @briansegarra Apparently you're new to reading as well. If you've read https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first you would've known 3rd party images aren't supported. You also got ripped off since any moron can write an image with games. It's also illegal.

        Only the official image is supported. Also, read the rest of the link since it's required reading before posting for help.

          3rd party images can be VERY iffy. It might be set-up great or likley just rushed job with rameverythingromrelatedware onto the card and its the poor sod that thinks they are getting a bargain end up frustrated and scammed

          Try this to reset the controller congis, but being hinest the easiest and quickest way is to start from scratch. Download RetroPie and begin from nothing. You'll get plenty of help then

          SSH in (https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/ssh), run sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh and go to Emulation Station configuration via

          Manage Packages -> Core Packages -> emulationstation -> Configuration or
          Configuration / Tools -> emulationstation

          and choose the option to Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration

          Initial installation from formatting the SD card

          https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/
          (All packages with configuration appear in Configuration / Tools when installed)
