I am able to get to the configuration menu but it does not detect my wired controller nor my wired keyboard in any of the USB ports

Are the keyboard/controller not detected even if they are directly connected to the Pi's USB ports ? Are you using a proper power supply for the Pi ? Does it work if you connect just the keyboard directly to the Pi ?

In another words an email or file that says that i can use retropie to the project named"PAP - ArcadeDeck"

RetroPie - the setup scripts - is released under the GNU Public License (GPL), as mentioned in https://retropie.org.uk/about/legal/. You'll not get an email or file as you desire, but you can point your teacher to the Legal page and mention the GPL, which is a permissive usage license.

Note that this doesn't cover any games that you may have installed, which have their own license and usage terms.

@Lolonois said in Skyscraper - Gamelist Assembly Hangs - No Gamelist Generated:

Quick Q: Can you provide the skyscraper version (from the command line issue Skyscraper -v)?

      v3.11.1

I assume it will work when taking the scriptmodule (via retropie_setup.sh) out of the mix: Does it work when you run Skyscraper -p amiga to generate a gamelist?

Seemed to hang in the same spot. Prior to all this I did a completely fresh install from image across the board to eliminate all the years of tinkering (such as ditching the bezel project, etc, and started from scratch). I've noticed that there are gamelist entries for the entire Amiga dataset, but starting at about 'N' I get zero data other than the name; perhaps something, perhaps not. I have the amiga files broken down into 3 sub-folders as well.

If yes: Create a symbolic link to your new cache location. As user pi, e.g.

cd .skyscraper ln -s /media/usb/retropie-mount/cache cache # move away the old ~/.skyscraper/cache folder if this command fails

I didn't create the symbolic link for now b/c it's reading from the cache properly, just struggling on this one to write. MAYBE I'll let it sit overnight and see if it's simply b/c the number of files is too big. I'm working through testing the other emulators as well. Might uncover something. Thanks!

Try to rerun scraping from retropie_setup.sh. Does it work now?

If no (in both cases): Something else is odd.

whel thanx to @mitu whit out nowing it igot it to work i think.
the problem was the first stap what i dident notis.
      and @mitu did say i a noder post "
The GCC version included in Raspbian Buster is stricter now and because of the all warnings being treated as errors compilation parameter, it refuses to compile libhid.
What you can do is to remove the -Wall usage by running configuring the libhid build (and probably the other libraries included), with

      ./configure --disable-warnings "
wel so i try that and its working.
so for so far i can thel i can turn the leds on and of using the command line (in terminal).
hope the rest is working to i gone try that now.

Do you have 2 dongles - one for each controller - or are you trying to get both controllers working with the same USB dongle ? I don't think the latter may be supported.

@windg I tried to unpack to raspberry os x64, it still ends with an error. Maybe the archive is broken. Trying another archive at the moment .

You have to install this package : unrar-1:6.0.3-1 not unrar-free-1:0.0.1. Sorry, my previous message wasn't clear enough and i hope you didn't install RetroPie on Bullseye 64 bit, it is a lot of time just to unrar few games.

Should be in the same place as regular logging (/dev/shm/runcommand.log).

@windg retropie folder is for transfering files (they will be copied from the & back to the corresponding folder(s) on the OS partition), whereas the retropie-mount folder actually is for running the files from the external media

That means pcsx2 didn't install properly. Try re-installing and then look in the last log file under $HOME/RetroPie-Setup/logs to see if there are any errors related to the installation.

@iandaemon You're true, the forum cannot be replaced. This is the best information source.
Discord Channel is more to speak with peaple, make friends, play together.

Why the language is an issue? Most peaple speak English all over the world. (i'am French for exemple)
