      Is there any official history or story behind RetroPie? I keep hoping to find something on Google like " I woke up in an alley at 5am, and couldn't find my pants. I wasn't sure where I was but behind the dumpster someone had scribbled some random code...when I finally got home and typed it in, well, this is where it all started."

      I get curious about the history of games, consoles, and emulators, so naturally now I was curious about RetroPie.

        @thedatacereal

        I'd love to hear the full tale one day myself. Coincidentally however, I do happen to know first hand that any story beginning with "I woke up in an alley at 5am, and couldn't find my pants" will not get you out of jury duty.

          Alcohol... Because no good story begins with "one day I drank one cup of tea too many"
          Nice, now I want to know the tale, too.

              @mediamogul Well, I hope that has it's own story worth telling , haha.

                @rion That was a great podcast, thanks for sharing! It really makes you realize how much the RetroPie team has accomplished not o ky front the ground up but the massive improvements to every part of the system and as each new Pi model has emerged.

                  Turns out, in a bizarre twist worthy of M. Night Shyamalan, my pants were never actually there.

                  That was indeed a great podcast. The only thing it was missing was Samuel L. Jackson showing up at the end and recruiting the guys for the Avengers. Thanks for linking that and as always, thanks to the whole team for all the work they do. Your efforts should be showcased more often.
