So, I have installed retropie. I have installed a ton of ROMS. But, when I pull up my favorite game Mutant Football League, it plays the whole opening sequence and it is as if my start button is gone. I have uninstalled the whole thing and redone it and still have the same issue. I even pressed "a" at opening and it didn't move me to a screen that I could change settings. It is by far the most frustrating thing to know that I am "that close". Any ideas on what I can do? My only thought that I did something wrong is installing all packages? Is there a command or setting that I can change?

I am a NOOB running on a 3b+. I have downloaded most roms as packages from EMU paradise. They worked for a hot second then I had to reinstall because of an sd card issue. Upon install, this is now my issue. Issue is consistant on wired xbox 360 and wireless. SD card formatted from canakit. Power is from canakit.
