retropie final fantasy 8 exits goes to menu

hi i am playing final fantasy viii as a pbp file im loading my save state using retroarch not the game option and when i get to disk 4 when i start it after i defeat seifer and im in lunatic pandora i walk i cannot go to the next area i have a black screen then it keeps going to the retropie game selection screen. on this video i am the area at 34.00 just after defeating seifer
and i load disk 4 cannot enter the next area i cannot get past this and when i try entering the same area sometimes the characters flash and it goes to the retropie game selection screen this is the only problem iv had. im using raspberry pi 3 can you help. -

i have just started disk 4 on final fantasy viii ps1 using a pbp a single file on retropie loaded save from retroarch and defeated seifer and i try to go to next area and when loading the screen goes black and then goes to the retropie game selection screen with no error what could be the problem i have uploded log photos 0_1537582779341_IMG_20180921_221800-min.jpg

@day11 resident evil 2 and final fantasy viii are known issues with .pbp. You need to extract the iso’s from the .pbp files and play them as cue/iso or cue/bin.

You could move the save file to your PC, go passed the broken area and then put the save back on the Pi.
