Pi Model or other hardware: B+
      Power Supply used: 5A 2.5V
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.4
Built From: RetroPie website on a 64GB formatted SD card
      USB Devices connected: controller
      Controller used: ps4 controller

How to replicate the problem: I tried to run several roms of "wonder boy in Monsterland" but all have the same issue. The roms starts but the menu blinks and you can't press any button. If you repeatedly press the button it will eventually run but after 1 second it goes back to the blinking start menu.

I have the same problem. It used to work before and all of a sudden it doesn’t. I’ve tried changing the emulator but no luck.

@mswer Maybe the ROM file is corrupted. Re-copy the ROM back to the ROM folder and retry.
