So this is my first time wiring a custom Arcade1up with led buttons and encoders with the b3+

Could someone verify my wiring and also guide me on where to connect my coin door NO - O and COM wiring so it works. I tried wiring it directly to a select button so I would have both worlds and no issues with SNES games and arcade games. It won’t register it when I wire it up and drop a quarter in. It does register the button just doesn’t register when I insert a coin so assuming I need to wire it to register. But can’t figure out how

      I’ll include some images below

First and foremost, welcome to this forum. :)

It's very hard to see the actual wiring on your third picture, especially for the bottom encoder. What I can say is that it's very important to wire both encoders completely identical, so that the same button is wired to the same slot on both of the encoders.

The reason behind this is that Retropie saves the controller configs under the name of the device. Thus, your two encoders will use the same configuration file, and need to be wired identically.

You can check your joystick buttons and axes with the jstest utilitly on Retropie's command console which you land in by pressing F4 in Emulation Station:

          jstest /dev/input/js0

js0 is the first joystick, js1 is the second and so on. You can then test all the buttons and axes to see if they register as the same on both devices. You can end jstest by pressing ctrl+c and return to Emulation Station with the command exit in the console.

I don't have any knowledge about coin doors, though.

Regarding your question about the coin door. could be a bad microswitch. do you have access to a multimeter? you could check the resistance from open to close. Any pics on how you have the coin door wired? Are you sure that you wired correctly to the button. Needs to be wired to the open close. On your buttons it should be the posts that are offset from one another and are on risers
