      Hi everybody. Does anyone know of a global pause emulation command? I only ask because it would be nice to pause some arcade titles that don't have a pause feature for obvious reasons (at least when they were designed). It can be a real pain when you have to answer a phone call or attend to a matter of nature and not be able to pause your game (but instead exit the game like I have been doing). For most games the start button is sufficient, but with arcade titles in particular it would be nice to to have some kind of a universal pause (It is very possible such a feature exists but I'm not aware of it). Any suggestions? Thanks.

            @dankcushions I just tried your suggestion and it worked perfectly. Would be nice to have it as a mapped function on the controller but I am the first to know I can't have everything. In any case thanks very much.

              @drake999 To clarify the only way i am aware of to execute this command is to hold down select on my gamepad and press "p" on my wireless keyboard. In any case, as inconvenient as this might be, it is more convenient then not being able to pause at all. This will aid me in my video game party nights. Thanks.

                @drake999 I haven't tried it, not sure if it's hard coded specifically to the keyboard but you could try mapping your retroarch.cfg to a gamepad button:

                input_pause_toggle = "9"
                Or
                input_pause_toggle_btn = "9"

                  Hi

                  I've achieved the same result by opening the RetroArch menu in lr emulators.

                  I can do this by pressing SELECT and X at the same time (using RetroPie's default buttons). I press the same combination to exit the menu and continue.
