I'm kinda new to RetroPie, and I was hoping to get back into the good old vintage stuff. I just don't know if it's a good idea to load the basic software on a Micro SD, and to then use a regular USB stick for the games and whatnot. Tips?

@Xenos using a smaller micro SD for retropie and a USB flash drive for your roms will make your life easier in the long run. I think most advanced users here probably are setup that way.

@quicksilver Thanks a lot! That was just the answer I was looking for.

@Xenos I'm using an USB SSD for my roms. It makes it very easy to just unplug it and plug it into my desktop pc to manage roms or images/videos, especially if moving many or big files around, which tends to be very slow over my WLAN connection to the Pi in my DIY upright arcade cabinet.
