no controller in Retroarch help please

i have my jaypad configured for the Main menu it works for all other Retropie menus apart from Retroarch and all Emulators was working but its been packed away whilst moving home
when loading Retroarch i see these messages
100% Shanwan pc/ps3/android configured in port #0.
100% GPIO Controller 1 (1/1) not configured -
So the controller is/was connected to the internal GPIO port of the Pi? Any chance that some of the wires have been detached while travelling?
If that is not the case, please provide the information that is asked for in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
