ADVMAME not showing Frames Per Second

USB Devices connected: Standard USB keyboard, Logitech USB Gamepad
Controller used: Logitech USB Gamepad

How to replicate the problem: setup basic install of retropie and install AdvanceMAME 0.94

So per the documentation F11 gives you FPS. Mine however gives some sort of percentage (cpu perhaps?).

When I hit F11 it shows this in the upper right hand:

auto 100% - 100%

Both percentages change as I play, but I'm unsure of what they mean and how to translate them to FPS. How do I translate these into FPS or show FPS?

Try using the current advmame (3.x), instead of the older version - F11 should work there.

I know advmame 1.4 uses Romset .106, but to clarify what romset do 0.94 and 3.x use?

Advmame 3 uses the same ROM set (0.106), advmame-0.94 uses an older one (0.94). See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/MAME/.
