Mouse spinner starts to wrong direction in quick spin

Hi,
have RP3 and diy spinner & trackball installed. Those done of usual USB-mouses.

Used to work fine, but now Tempest start to act strange. (mame2003)
EDIT: for example in Arkanoid & Bombee it sill works just fine!

When spinning spinner quick, it starts to wrong direction and just after moment takes the correct one. In slow spinning works fine.

Have tried cmdline.txt change usbhid.mousepoll= xx to different values, bit no help.
Any ideas, what can I maybe try to?

SOLVED.
Run in Advanced MAME 1.4 & reduced sensitivity.

@mha you are experiencing backspin effects like a wagon wheel appearing to spin the wrong way in old western movies. It is an artifact of sampling frequency where the timing is so close to your spinning speed that it registers as going in reverse.

You already tried one setting that I once read can help. Next, you will need to get into the MAME GUI menu by pressing TAB and adjusting the analog control settings for that game. You should be able to improve it by adjusting speed and sensitivity.

2nd Advanded mame it works so much better with spinners. actually advanced mame is newer than Advanced mame 1.4 its 3.9.
