You can find a much better engine for Beat'em Ups --> OpenBOR
Whoa, I never heard about this in RetroPie. Thanks man, I love Beat 'em Ups!
Two button multiplayer goodness! I'm excited!

Cameltry came to SNES in the USA as On The Ball. I had a party where we all got hammered and played that game for hours. Yeah, we all puked... (It was a helluva fun night, though, and gave us great story to tell.)
-
@Thorr69 Yes I hope we have some good contributions to this game. I think it would be worth for a second week if @obsidianspider agrees ;)
@IanDaemon I've updated the OpenBOR thread a bit. You can see OpenBOR version of Streets of Rage vs. MegaDrive/Genesis version here

To a small teaser...
Finished the Training course with 81360pts -

OpenBOR isn't really running on my RPi yet, but it's installed. I haven't gotten any PAKs to run, but I managed to get two emulator entries to show up in ES for some reason. I'll play around with it tonight.
-
@IanDaemon Please discuss your OpenBOR issues in associated thread ;)

You don't have to stop playing Cameltry but MAME ROW #129 is live!
-
@obsidianspider I wish I could get Cameltry to run. :(
-
@IanDaemon Finally got Cameltry. Cool arcade title. I dig the change of pace from "establish franchises".
-
I did the beginner course with this result. I was playing around with the controls and I have it working with the joystick and the trackball. (I don't have a spinner.)
-
I finally got the screenshot stuff sorted out on my mame cabinet. I don't know if there are file size limits in this thread, but I'm going to try and keep the screen caps on the smaller size for faster loading.

Recently I introduced someone to Cameltry. After tweaking the two-player controls (alternating, not simultaneous), we had good times chasing high scores with the arcade stick and the trackball.
-
Do we need a spinner for this game?
-
@lilbud You could use one, but I have my cabinet setup to use the stick and/or the trackball. The stick gives me more accurate control than the trackball, but isn't as physical of movement. I'd say the goal of the MAME RoW is fun and exploration so if you have a spinner that'd be ideal, but no one is saying that you can't do your own thing. Video games are supposed to be fun; so I'm having it. If I'm giving you bad advice or "speaking out of turn", then I respectfully defer to admins.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
