Crazy gaming moments in video game history

There are even Games that are completely crazy.
Two mention three of them:#Pulirula (Arcade Version is the best).
Starts as a cute brawler, but as soon as you reach the first Boss you realize....ok, its going odd.
Level 2 confirms that, this game was created on drugs!!!#ChoAniki try the PSX-Shmup of this series and you will ask yourself right from the start....WTF???
#LSD - The Dream Emulator. Self explaining.

@sirhenrythe5th good post, that's what I'm talking about!!!! Another good moment is when I went to my local arcade spot called Haunted Trails in Bridgeview, IL. I saw that 4 player X-Men arcade and almost fell out, lol. It was like playing a comic bookπππ, that game changed the playing field for me. Another moment was Super Contra, that game had me spending my little allowance money lol. Epic!!!

SPOILER ALERT
There are 2 similar moments stuck with me forever. From that on, I was a different person. If you didn't play the games and don't want get spoiler ed, then don't read further.-
Legend of Zelda β A Link To The Past
I admit, I played the game on a friends SNES as my first Action Adventure game. When I was about to defeat Agahnim, my friend told me that this is not the end of the game. I just didn't believe him, thought he was joking to me. But holy broly, he was right. When i defeated Agahnim and the Dark World opened up, I was stunned. -
Final Fantasy 6 (US: 3)
This is a similar situation. After around 25 hours, the heroes finally reached a point in the story where the world was about to be destroyed by the villain and it looked like the final battle will start. But oh boy, I was wrong again and how I was! The villain literally destroyed the world and I didn't know if it was the end or not, if I did the wrong choice. Then the player could play as a character on a small island, with a dying uncle (I don't know anymore if that was the uncle). I thought this was how the game ends, but then the player started to explore the destroyed world map.

Kung Fu Master was life changing too. The wizards head falling off on Kung Fu Master level 4. If you punch his head it falls off, he can only be defeated by kicks. The midget opponents who flip over you, was weird too. Me and my friends thought one of the level bosses was Mr T, lol.
Ms Pacman, when her and Pacman made a baby, lol, we was young. It was crazy. The stork flying by was insane. Unbelievable stuff to a kid
Goonies, with all the little keys, smh fun times
What about the digitized cave people dancing in the background of Primal Rage, crazy!!! The programmers were ahead of their time

Gaming moments that are stuck with me are for example:
- The first time i saw a C64 and my friend started up Ghost 'n' Goblins.
- When my cousin brought his C64 to my grandparents and he loaded up Rambo - First Blood Part 2 (oh the music!)
- When i spotted (and played) a Double Dragon arcade for the first time in late 80's.
- First time playing Final Fight arcade
- Playing Metroid on NES and discovering new worlds and equipment. I especially remember like a "bridge" you walked over several times and later in the game you could break it and climb down discovering a new world.
- Booting up an original It Came From the Desert on the Amiga 500 me and my brother got for christmas .
- First time reaching the boss ship in R-Type on the Sega Master System. It was huge and you could shoot and blow up things "anywhere" on it.
- When my father brought home a Philips Videopac (or Magnavox Oddyssey 2 for those in the US) with a bunch of games in the early 80's.
- Loading a random unmarked pirated cassette that was included with the VIC20 we bought and it said "Found Shadow Fax". Also, the ingame animations looked so real :) The VIC20 game Omega Race that we had on cartridge also has some fond memories with me.
-
playing wipeout for the first time on the original playstation. i'd been playing stuff like sonic and co on the megadrive, and to go from that to these fully 3d games was just so crazy.

I remember playing Super double dragon on the snes in the 90s with a friend. We came across a punching bag and had some fun punching it and seeing the bag react to our punches. But then after we kept punching it the chain broke and the bag landed on the floor... we were rolling on the floor laughing as it was such an unexpected event.

The joy and memories, and they still continue through the Pie

leisure suit larry what else can i say its all in the name

- When I played Barbarian on the Spectrum, lopping off someone's head off with the sword was a "wow" moment. And then seeing the tiny servant come across and kick the head out was just... "double wow". (see the video at 39 seconds)
- Certainly the end of Double Dragon 1 in 2 player mode was awesome in concept (not in gameplay).
- Playing any of the new consoles when I was young was also mind-blowing. Coming from a ZX Spectrum (the only actual computer I owned), playing on my cousin's GameBoy the first time around was such a leap - great music, and better gameplay. Then from there I played on my neighbour's MegaDrive and it was like having an arcade at home.
- Playing Time Crisis on the arcade. That cover and shoot mechanic arcade experience with the pedal was unbeatable. And at home you could replicate it by plugging a PSX controller on Port 2 and using it as a pedal!
- Scorpion's "rip the spine" fatality in MK was a shock as well.
- Metal Gear Solid was full of such moments. Certainly Psycho Mantis comes to mind, but the first one was chock full of such moments.

Especially when he started looking into the savegames in my memory card, and then he made the joypad move on the table. Good times.

I remember playing Return to Zork with a friend of mine and we were cracking up about this moment:
We'll still quote it from time to time
Also there was another moment in Return to Zork when you say the wrong things to this person and they will finally punch your lights out.
Another time we were playing the point & click adventure Stephen Kingβs The Dark Half and we found the .ini files with all the dialog from the game and we changed everyone's name to something funny and added many curse words as adjectives. We actually started the game over from the start and was cracking up all the way through.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
