Please add more info about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
What emulator are you using to run the arcade ROMs ? Does it support hiscores ? -
@mitu im using Raspberry 3, with updated retropie. Im running games on arcAde and just found that on mame2003 high Score save, on fbalpha they dont save. since bartop has a gng theme and HS work on mame 2003 i think ill keep it running on this emulator. I wanna post a pic of bartop but size is too big.

@ruicunha You don't need to post a pic, I don't see how the theme of the bartop would relate to hiscores not saving.
Are you using save states or run-ahead in RetroArch ? Did you install from the RetroPie provided image or you're using a ready-made image ?
What is the exact name of the ROM you're running ? -
@mitu does Run ahead works on retropie? I just use the frame option on 6 and have no input lag. About HS its working on mame2003, i dont need it to work on other emulator a for now. The bartop pic was just to show my bartop 😀 . When i have time ill post my retroarch main options.

Highscores are supported on a per game/driver basis, it's not something that works for all games - that's why I'm asking for the exact ROM name. For instance,
gng.zip
has support for Hiscores, butmario.zip
might not. -
@ruicunha FYI, atm read ahead won't work jointly with hiscores on any arcade emulator, and there are good reasons for that, it's explained starting there : https://github.com/libretro/fbalpha/issues/209#issuecomment-481137426
