1up arcade MK2 existing controls
-
I’m running a raspberry 3 b+ with 2 microntek usb encoders. I’m able to map the buttons on initial boot. The joy stick and buttons all work in ES. I can select a game but then neither control works. I’m forced to press f4 on my keyboard, reload ES from prompt. Is there anything I might need to do or change. Any help would be great.

Please provide more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Are the controllers detected as gamepads or keyboard ? Can you check if the
\\retropie\configs\all\retroarch-joypads
folder contains any files that are named after your controller ? -
@mitu they register as microntek usb joystick

@jdpieeyed Please add the information asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@mitu I have a raspberry pi 3 b+, monitor board suggested by ETA prime, original controls from Mortal Kombat 2 1up arcade. Suggested image burned to 32gb as card. I added a select button and wired into microntek usb encoders. The wiring is correct on the encoders and I can map them on initial boot of retropie. controls work all through EmulationStation. Once I choose any game the controls stop working. I can only use my usb keyboard to enter any function. I’ve gone into /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypad. There isn’t any file located so I’m guessing it’s not saving my configuration for my controls.

@jdpieeyed What does 'suggested image' means ? We don't support 3rd party images - use the image from retropie.org.uk/download if you're not using it already.
-
@mitu which image is best for 1up arcade
-
@jdpieeyed Please read and understand my previous reply.

@mitu I believe I have, my question is what image from the link should I use, that will be compatible with my setup
-
@jdpieeyed There are 2 images - you need the one for the Raspberry 2/3.
