Re: Custom Splashscreen in x86 Retropie on Ubuntu 16.04

I've made a bash script using the tutorial by @abontherun to play a video on open, and it's working great, starts ES and BGM.py ; but in his script, he calls for VLC to play a certain file

#Plays video in VLC then exits. Replace quoted part with your video's location.
      vlc --play-and-exit --fullscreen "/home/bill/Documents/ChopSueyRPI720.mp4"

I modified mine to play splash.mp4, but I'm wondering; is there a command line argument I could use to have it play one video randomly instead? i.e. have a splashvid folder with splash1.mp4, splash2.mp4, splash3.mp4, etc etc instead of just one static video?
