Custom Controls in a .WHD file for Amiberry
-
Hi all,
Running a Raspberry Pi 3 with 64GB Sandisk SD Card and latest Retropie build with updates as at 12th June, 2019. 4 x Logitech F710 Wireless Controllers, Logitech, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse and Official Pi PSU.I have been reading at https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/wiki/WHDLoad-Auto-booting#game-specific-settings-improving-game-compatibility about creating a custom .WHD file for games to over ride the settings in the gameslist.xml file.
I tried to create one but the settings don't appear to be passed from WHDload to amiberry. Configuration of the file is below:
;PRIMARY_CONTROL=MOUSE/JOYSTICK
;PORT0=MOUSE/JOY/CD32
;PORT1=MOUSE/JOY/CD32
;FAST_COPPER=TRUE
;CPU=68000/68010/68020/68040
;BLITTER=NORMAL/WAIT/IMMEDIATE
;CHIPSET=OCS/ECS/AGA
;JIT=TRUE
;CPU_COMPATIBLE=TRUE
;SCREEN_HEIGHT=216
;SCREEN_Y_OFFSET=10
;LINE_DOUBLING=TRUE
;NTSC=TRUE
;SPRITES=NONE/PLAYFIELD/SPRITES/FULL
;FAST_RAM=1/2/4/8
;Z3_RAM=16/32/64/128
;CLOCK=7/14/28/MAXHas anyone else tried to create these files and had any success?
Thanks,

@Dwarfboysim
I haven't done this, but somewhere I read that a database needs to be updated for whdload, this control should be inside amiberry somewhere. Are not the whd archives supposed to have .lha file extension?
Sorry I'll just read the link in your post....

It says that the semi-colon prefacing the line is a commented out line.
-
@Efriim have removed the semi colon in my actual file but doesn’t make any difference

from the gamelist which file is loaded?
the .lha archive? And is the .whd in the same folder as the whdload_db.xml
located possibly at
/opt/retropie/emulators/amiberry/whdboot/
