Total newbie so please bare with me. Wanted to change up the background music on start-up so installed Eazy Hax's Toolkit and installed Background Music (which was pointless as it is just the background music we already had) but has thrown an unintended problem that now two songs play at once which, as you can imagine, is really annoying. Also, I have a 'music' folder in my ROM folder that has all the mp3's in but adding mp3's doesn't seem to have any effect. I wondered if what you guys refer to as the BGM folder is that music folder? Does anyone know how to fix my two bgms playing at the same time problem? TIA.

@Becciboo81 Well, RetroPie doesn't include any BGM music scripts - so you must have installed 2 scripts that play at once.

Check the usual places for startup scripts:

        • /etc/rc.local (you'll need to use sudo to edit this file).
        • /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh

and remove one of the BGM scripts.
