Is there a fix for RetroPie on Raspberry Pi 4?

I bought the Raspberry Pi 4, my first raspberry, and I see that RetroPie can't be installed onto the Raspberry Pi 4?
I tried to the version for the Raspberry Pi 3 and that didn't work. I also tried to install it directly on Raspian, and I got an error somewhere (I know I should provide what error, but this is a more general question).
Does it work on the Raspberry Pi 4? Is there hacks available? Or it doesn't work yet.

There is no RetroPie version with support for the Pi4, you'll have to wait until support is added in a subsequent version.
