      Hello,

      I set up Retropie 4.5 from the standard image, running it on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. I'm using a Dragonrise clone as my arcade joystick. I set up Retroarch with the Dragonrise (and the setup added the correct Dragonrise file in autoconfig) and mapped the joystick and keys as follow ( in \opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg): reverse phone lookup

      input_player1_a = "x"
      input_player1_b = "z"
      input_player1_y = "a"
      input_player1_x = "s"
      input_player1_start = "enter"
      input_player1_select = "rshift"
      input_player1_l = "q"
      input_player1_r = "w"
      input_player1_left = "left"
      input_player1_right = "right"
      input_player1_up = "up"
      input_player1_down = "down"

      Then I noticed that Atari vector games looked really bad, so I followed a post on this forum to install the optional AdvMame 3.9, downloaded the right roms (106) for Asteroids and tried playing. Since AdvMame doesn't use Retroarch, the input is configured for a keyboard, but doesn't work for my arcade joystick

      I searched everywhere, but short of manually mapping the keys in the "tab menu" for AdvMame 3.9, I could not find an easy way to clone the Retroarch mapping to AdvMame. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I was hoping to be able to copy a cfg file (or insert a portion of one) in "the right place" and be done (so that if in the future I change mapping, I can simply copy again)

      EDIT: to be clear, I can manually set all the joystick presets both for the whole AdvMame emulator and per ROM. I'm just hoping to be able to leverage the libretro settings, if possible (but I know that the name in the cfg file are different)

        Sorry, no direct solution to your problem, but another option could be mame 2003 plus which has much better vector graphic support and settings than the original mame 2003.

        I also used AdvMAME until mame2003-plus got the vector update. Then I switched to get the global libretro configuration.
