I built this back in 2016. Got the idea from a reddit post I had seen a while back. I just recently took out the PC that was running in it and replaced it with a rasbperry Pi 3 B+. Should have done it a long time ago as 99% of the library that was being played on it did not need a beefy PC. Still have to get the back panel to enclose it all completely but I never did that before because the PC would get too hot. Now I am working out controller kinks on 2 Aimtraks and the trackball but everything else is working smoother than it was on the PC. Only thing I miss is the Hyperspin front end and Attract Mode crashes every 30-45 min so can't use that right now but, Emulation Station has some good themes that are working great. Anyways, here are some pics.

Gorgeous build! How did you do the black part around the monitor? Is that just plexiglass?

@HurricaneFan, Thanks. It's actually tinted tempered glass from Onedayglass. the tinted glass actually serves 2 purposes, it blacks out the interior and gives a sort of old school, CRT, look to the LED LCD TV inside, imo. Only downfall of tinted glass is I had to turn the IR gain all the way up to get the aimtraks to register accurately but once I did that they work great.

@zerohex Very cool. Did the aimtrack ir bar go above the monitor or below it in your build?

@HurricaneFan , I have it on top the monitor.

You can sort of see it in this pic when I was doing some testing and playing with a second screen to show controls for each game, which was way too much of pain and I ended up removing it.

You put my thoughts perfectly into words. 😆
