Am I allowed to ask for help/suggestions on building my arcade machine? I wouldn't want to post this in the wrong place.

I need some guidance on how I should build my arcade machine.

      Type of Machine: Stand-Up
OS: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Running RetroPie
Monitor: Old Windows XP Dell Monitor
Controls: (I have a joystick and some buttons coming tomorrow).
Speakers: An old pair of rechargeable logitech speakers
Wood housing: I have no idea what wood I should get. I wanted kind of a darker wood for my Arcade Machine.
Marquee: Cycling LED Lighted MAME Marquee
      Power: APC Power Strip
Wire/Raspberry Pi Housing: I currently have the RPI inside a small plastic box that has holes cut into it for wires going out/in.

Sure you can, just post a topic and use it as your build log here:

Put up your thoughts, ideas and designs, pics, vids, ask questions, whatever.
