doubt about how to save a shader

- When I'm playing some SNES, for example, and in Shaders RGUI I chose "save core preset", I've noticed that option does not save my option because if I close that game and open another SNES game, I will have to make the same choices again. Where is my mistake?

I also noticed this recently when I set up Retropie on a new machine. The solution that I found was saving the overall configuration via RetroArch's Main Menu > Configuration File > Save Current Configuration from within a running game. It will save a configuration file for that core, and after that, RetroArch finally did load my saved shader core preset for all SNES games on startup.
It seems like a bug, or am I missing something?

Whoa, thanks. I will try this tomorrow <3

@Clyde
Well, "failed save config to ..." -
"save core override" on quick menu did it
Thank you very much -
Thank you for sharing your solution. The question remains why the save function from the shaders menu doesn't work for you and me, although the RGUI says that it did save the settings.
If you want to dive deeper into the "failed saving config" error, please open another topic about it (for tidiness and all), start any game from that core with verbose logging via the Runcommand menu, try to (fail to) save the config, and post the contents of
/dev/shm/runcommand.log
in a code block in your new topic. 🙂
