So I have the Adafruit pi grrl zero, running Retropie 4.5.1, and so I have been playing n64 games and sometimes they crash. I tried the 320, 240 setting and my pi is overclocked from 700 to 1000, have tried all the emulators, but for some reason, whenever I play both the Zelda n64 titles, sometimes they will just randomly crash for no reason. I also have Mario 64, golden eye, and super smash bros, but those all run fine. My frame rate is about 7 - 20 FPS when I play games (mostly around 13 FPS) but so I basically want to fix the crashing problem and the framerate

@Dakotadog18 I take it you are running a gen1 pi given your comment regarding the 700->1000Mhz overclock.

I can't speak for your crashing issues, but a pi1 is going to have a terrible time trying to run N64 games. There are a few that might just run OK, but the majority will struggle.

It very well could be that the overclock is the thing that upsets running particular games. Thinking back to the days I ran Pi1's, they were very hit and miss with overclocking stability. I had multiple and only one board I had happily dealt with an overclock to 1000Mhz. Other boards would crash or reboot.

(edit) I see pigirl Zero there in your post. Very much the same story. If it's a pi Zero you are running it's basically a pi1 with a stable overclock and same RAM (unless you're were talking pi1 A or very first pi1 B) .

Do not expect good FPS from this. In fact Pi4 owners are waiting patiently to see if this is the model that will finally give real playable FPS.
