Save slot permanently

Hello, I searched the forum but I can't find a solution to my doubt.
I want to be able to select a slot to save the games in each game, but then without touching anything, that when starting that game he already know in which slot he saved the game and loads it.
For example, if I play Aladdin of Genesis and save in slot 05, turning off the console and turning it on again just have to get into the Aladin game and when pressing Hotkey + L, automatically load the game of slot 5 and not that I have to select the slots until I reach the one I want.
I know what can be done because in my current Retropie it is working like this, but I want to set up a new Ratropie more modern and clean of vices and I can't do it.
