Help Remapping Hotkey to two keys?

Hi All.

I'm hoping someone can please point me in the right direction as I'm a little stuck. My Select button my gameboy-zero is non functioning so I'm after help remapping it. I'm running the current retropie version, on a pizeroW. I've searched the wiki and understand the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg is for hardcoding any config options.

I've gone into my controller config file and thought putting input_enable_hotkey_btn = "5+8" would resolve my issue and enable me to launch the menu with L1 & R1 , but it doesn't work.

I've also tried using input_menu_toggle = "L1+R1" in retroarch.cfg but also get no result.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction? Many thanks!

The hotkey cannot be 2 buttons at the same time. If you'd like to use another combination to open the RGUI, RetroArch has a few other options available under Configuration -> Input, using the Menu Toggle Gamepad Combo option:

@mitu @mitu thanks mate. What’s the command to set this in the config files as I can’t launch the rgui since my buttons don’t work? Can I add menu_toggle_gamepad_gui: “l1+r1” to a config somewhere?

You can add the combo to the main config file in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg (this will set it to L+R).
