I have been trying one of the latest weekly snapshots foe the raspberry pi 4 with debian Buster, and more or less everything works fine.

Kodi (Leia), however, has some kind of screen tearing / graphical glitching when navigating the menus, specially during the transitions. It only affects the menus, as video playback seems to be fine.

Am I the only one, or is this a known issue?

@xwons Yes screen tearing in the menus may happen on the RPi4, no known solution yet.

@Rascas , hi i know this question was old but im still having problems with screen tearing in the menu, video playback is great though. Any updates on how to fix this? Or is the problem still shelved at the moment?

@red37 I still have this issue. Honestly, I got used to it and didn't pay much attention to possible solutions anymore. Maybe some driver or kodi has been updated since.

@xwons screen tearing in the menus will only be fixed with the KMS driver, so only on Kodi 19 when it gets released.

On batocera it doesn't happen can't you use their driver? even today the problem persists, even on libreelec, the only place where it works is batocera

@MorugaSkorpion Batocera doesn't have hardware video decoding, so much worse as a Media Center. Like said before, problem is only when navigating the interface, video plays fine without tearing.
