i dont know if its for some stupid reason the Waveshare 7" (800x480[b]) screen, or its my 8bitdo SN30 Pro in DInput mode (Start+B)but,

On opening the menu, it wont display Anything till a button's pressed, and then inputs almost seem Random making using that menu an infuriating test in not going Mad!

i just want to map controls and set Left/Right (top=Left/Bottom=right) screen orientation as the Retroarch DeSuMe core is laggy even after being overclocked.

is there something im missing to this?
im using an Rpi4B (4GB Ram Model), the 4.5.13 Rpi4 image, and the power supply is the included one from the kit thru Canakit

I experience the same issue. It seems that the screen will refresh only once every two inputs, so you need to painstakingly press input you want, then a neutral one.

For instance, if using the keyboard, I pressed "." every other time until I finished setting things up.

Not ideal, but that's what I get as well on the weekly build. Hope it helps.

From what I understand, the version of DraStic that we have access to is just a generic ARM build and isn't well optimized. It works ok on previous pi models under the legacy Vc4 drivers, but using fkms on the pi 4 it seems to have issues.
