Pi Model or other hardware: 3B+
Power Supply used: Official Pi Supply
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.5.12
Built From: Pre made sd image and updated from retropie site
      USB Devices connected: keyboard
      Controller used: 8bitdo SF30 Pro
      Emulator: Amiberry 3.1.1

Hi I am using Amiberry 3.1.1 and running games with no issues.
My question is regarding save states.
I realise I can hit F12 to open the GUI and go to save states and save a game in a slot.
With the new amiberry.conf file the default key to open the GUI is F12.

Can this be changed to use a button on the controller or do I need to map the F12 key to a controller button?
If I need to map it to a controller button does this need to be done for each game?

      Regards

      Jimi

By default the well-known combo to open the RA-GUI (Select + x) opens the Amiberry-GUI, have you tried that?
Works every time and in every game of course ;)

The keys can also be remapped by using "Inputs/Custom Inputs" in the Amiberry-GUI.

@sirhenrythe5th Hi I just tried it and unfortunately it did not work.
I think I will need to map the F12 key to a button on the controller and add it to all games

          Regards

          Jimi

@sirhenrythe5th I actually had another think about the key combination for select +x and realised this is a
            hotkey + X.
My hotkey is set to the little button on the bottom right of the 8bitdo controller.
I pressed this button + X and boom into the GUI I go!

Thanks for leading me in the right direction

            Regards

            Jimi
