Amiberry - start all games in full screen
-
Hi,
I hope someone can help?
I can't seem to set all games to run in full screen as default.
I can only get games to run screen by pressing f12 once a game has loaded, unticking maintain aspect ratio and choose full screen and saving the config.
I just need Amiberry to run in full screen every time as default.
Can anyone assist as it's driving me crazy.
Cheers

@chrisino edit the "amiberry.conf"-file. There you can set parameters as scanlines, autocentering vertical and horizontal by switching them from "no" to "yes" for all games/global.
-
Where is the file kept? Do you have an example of what it should look like once I open it?
Thanks
-
@chrisino AFAIR it is located in "/opt/retropie/config/amiga/amiberry".
It looks like a regular script, just command lines 😉 -
Hi,
Could you give me the lines I need to add. Basically a copy and paste job?
I'd be really grateful.
Cheers

@chrisino you have to edit the lines anyway, you cant just copy and paste them, they would be doubled then which would cause chaos.
Just open the file with the "sudo nano" command and change "no" to "yes" in the lines concerning the display. This is much easier than copy and pasting ☺ -
Terminal commands for a simple task is too complicated for a noob like me to be honest.
I don't know how to use the terminal. Typing lines of code seems really long winded.
If the cfg is a simple text file then why cant I just copy and paste?
Thanks anyway.
Might try a Windows emulator. Seems too complicated for such a small task.

-Start Retropie and leave it on the menu screen.
-On your windows device, connect to the same network as your Raspberry Pi
-Open windows file explorer
-In the address type: \\retropie
-Double click configs > amiga > amiberry > conf
-Double click amiberry.conf
-Find the line that says: default_correct_aspect_ratio=yes and change the yes to no
-Find the line that says: default_fullscreen=no and change the no to yesSave your file. Restart RetroPie.
Test your game and it should open as full screen, as you initially requested.

Scanlines can be enabled by setting default_line_mode=2
