I can't boot any mame/arcade/neogeo rom

so basically earlier today i finished a retropie and mame setup video on youtube everything worked just fine, i was trying to set up my controller on street fighter alpha 3 but suddenly my power went away a few minutes later it came back. I was trying to play some street fighter alpha 3 but it just kept kicking me out, i have all the possible emulators and stuff but now i can't play any arcade games, mame or neogeo. What can i do?
