    Can you run RetroPie from a flash drive?

      I’m pretty new to RetroPie and I was wondering if you could run it from a flash drive instead of the micro sd card.

        If by flash driver you mean an USB based drive, then yes. You can store your roms on a separate flash drive (as shown here) or you can install your entire OS on a flash drive - as detailed here, though you'll still need a sdcard to program the Pi first and this method is not yet supported on the new Pi4 model.
