i have been trying to play sigil on my raspberry pi 3 running retropie, but every time i start my sigil .sh file it loads up ultimate doom. Does anyone know whats going on?

      !#/bin/bash
      "/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh" 0 _PORT_ "doom" "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/doomu.wad"

there's my .sh file for sigil, i named the sigil wad doomu (as it said in the tutorial by libretro) any help would be awesome.

So the sigil wad should be in a folder together with the doomu wad. I've got a prboom wad in there as well.
My sh file looks like this (only the last file path can differ from yours) :

          1
          2
          #!/bin/bash
          /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 "/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-prboom/prboom_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/ports/doom/retroarch.cfg /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/sigil/Doom.wad" "lr-prboom"

By the way, if you haven't already, check out the eviternity wad as well.. it's brilliant.

@BobHarris said in sigil loading ultimate doom instead of sigil:

            eviternity

Do you rename the sigil wad, also is it the same steps for eviternity?

@dalekman27 No I don't rename the sigil wad.
Yes it is exactly the same for eviternity..except you add the doom2 wad in the folder and point to that wad in the sh file.

@dalekman27 Sorry forgot one important step if you do it my way. (You have to do this for both sigil and eviternity.)
First follow my previous advice. Then start the game and it will automatically create a folder inside the folder of the game.
So for example in my setup I have a separate folder for the eviternity game. When you boot the game for the first time, it creates a folder called Doom2 inside the eviternity folder. Inside is a file called prboom.cfg. Open this file and remove the # at the beginning of the line 'wadfile 1'. then add between the "" eviternity.wad using the same upper and lower case as the wad file itself. If you boot the game up again it will load eviternity.

Alternatively you could start the game up and when it loads Doom 2 go to options and add the eviternity wad there, but somehow my keyboard does not work inside the game, so I had to do it like I described here above.

@BobHarris Thanks so much, I got both wads to work.
