I've just built a Bartop Arcade using a 3B+ and have installed some games via usb stick. Under the megadrive emulator I have (and can play) 3 games. However looking at the gamelist.xml found here: .....retropie\configs\from_retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\gamelists\megadrive, I can only see 2 of the 3 games. I have no other gamelist.xml in the retropie\configs that I can see. All gamelist xml files exist in thier appropriate emulator.
Additionally, if I amend the gamelist.xml file on the usb stick to change the "name", will inserting this usb stick into the Pi then update the gamelist xml file and change the name, or do i need to remove the games first and reinstall them?
I have searched but can find no definitive answer to the above.
      Cheers
      Paul

Are you sure you don't have an additional gamelist.xml in the ROMs folder (megadrive) ? EmulationStation will look there first and then in the gamelists/megadrive folder.
