    Can I leave a non-retropie usb drive plugged in?

      I'm using my Rpi4 for double duties. Most of the time, it runs OMV with a 256gb USB drive plugged in, as a transmission torrent server. Then when I want to use the retropie, I will just power it off and plug in the retropie microsd. My retropie is functioning fine with roms alls loaded up. My questions is can I safely leave my other USB drive in there that's not associated with retropie at all? Will it leave the contents alone? Or will it try to do anything to the drive? It's formatted ext4. Just would like to be able to leave the drive plugged in if possible.
