Xin mo duel joypads and spectrum pi4

As it says..ive built a full scake arcade machine on the pi 4..every emukator is working with 2 players on 7k games.
Ive recently installed spectrum.games..and as much as i know not all spectrum games support joypads like chuckie egg most do...Now ive been in retro arch and tried changing the input etc ..from retropad and via kempton..
But i still cant get any of the games working via joystick
Any clues?
As i said latest version of retro pie on the pi4
