PSX showing all bin files
-
Hi All,
So when browsing under the psx page in retropie all of my game .cue files are being listed but so is every bin file.
i took a look at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/735/psx-please-remove-bin-from-the-file-types/6
and followed
"cafarellidigital 6 May 2016, 06:48
Are you asking about it being a change to the official RetroPie image? Or are you asking to make the change to your personal system? If the latter, you can do it by modifying the \etc\emulationstation\es_systems.cfg file. Find the psx system and remove .bin .BIN from the <extension> tag. That line should look like this when you're done: <extension>.cue .CUE</extension>. Now only CUE files will show up in the list."
But I don't see the .bin extension in my cfg file
<system> <name>psx</name> <fullname>PlayStation</fullname> <path>/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx</path> <extension>.cue .cbn .chd .img .iso .m3u .mdf .pbp .toc .z .znx .CUE .CBN .CHD .IMG .ISO .M3U .MDF .PBP .TOC .Z .ZNX</extension> <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 _SYS_ psx %ROM%</command> <platform>psx</platform> <theme>psx</theme> </system>
Any ideas?

How did you install RetroPie ? The default image doesn't have
.bin
as a recognized extension and it also doesn't come with a customized system file. -
using this script from movisman - https://github.com/movisman/RetroPie-Setup-Ubuntu
and i'm using http://skraper.net/ for the image art and videos
-
@gareth_iowc Then instruct Skraper to not scrape the
.bin
files, only the.cue
files. -
ah yes, sorry my fault :)
