RetroPie 3b+ Won't Start

@markyh444 How much space should I clear up?
-
@MarcuFinx76 And if I do need to clear up space how do I do that? I don't want to wipe all the roms completely, but can I specifically pick out a rom to delete via commands?
-
@MarcuFinx76 are you able to browse the retropie shares over your local network? If you can, you just need to move some files off that way. If you can start Retropie-Setup from the CLI, you can uninstall the emulator you tried installing that filled your SD card instead.
-
@markyh444 How do I get to Retropie-Setup through CLI? Because I tried connecting through local network and it just loads then leads to a blank screen
-
@MarcuFinx76 Are there any @Global-Moderators that can help?
-
@MarcuFinx76
sudo bash RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
but please don't tag moderators and/or bump posts
-
@dankcushions That worked and I was able to uninstall mupen64-plus-next. I rebooted it but it still says I need to clear some space. Is there a way to manually get to a place through CLI so I can get rid of some psx roms or something similar to the sort? (Also terribly sorry for tagging, I'll make sure to not do it again)
-
@MarcuFinx76 your ROMs and games are in
$HOME/RetroPie/roms
, you can usemc
(a file manager with a Norton Commander like interface) to navigate and delete file.
You can also delete them via File shares, by accessing the ROMs folder over network at\\retropie\roms
. -
@mitu Ok I've finally made it to the roms folder. All I need to do now is delete some file but it says 8 is to delete on the very bottom of the screen. I've tried typing 8 and hitting enter but nothing happens

Looks like you never used Norton Commander or any similar programs ? It's not
8
, it'sF8
- all the shortcuts shown at the bottom of the screen are tied to the respective function buttons (e.g. F10 is quit, F8 is delete, F6 is move, etc.). -
@mitu That worked! I can't express how grateful I am, I really thought I had messed up to the point of no return. Thank you so much for you're help, and have a great day
