-
I'm having trouble installing Skyscraper from the RetroPie Setup menu...
Pi Model or other hardware: 4
Power Supply used: CanaKit 3.5A USB-C Raspberry Pi 4 Power Supply with Noise Filter
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.6.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Acer Keyboard
Controller used: Sn30 Pro Plus Wireless Controller
Error messages received: "Could not install package(s): qt5-default p7zip-full."
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): Not sure how to get this...would something like VNC on a Mac help me get this? I have SSH set up (sorry, very new to this)
Guide used: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/#installation_1
File:
Emulator:
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
How to replicate the problem:
(1) Enter RetroPie Setup Menu
(2) Select "Manage packages"
(3) Select "Manage optional packages"
(4) Select "skyscraper"
(5) Select either "Install from pre-compiled binary" or "Install from source" (both result in the same error message shown above)Thank you in advance for your help!

Is your Pi connected to the internet ? Installing packages needs an active internet connection.

Yes - I'm able to transfer things over SSH no problem.

That doesn't mean your PI has internet access, just that it's accessible in your internal network. Are you able to update RetroPie or you get the same kind of error ?

I'm able to connect to Wifi through the Wifi option in the Retropie menu (my network name and IP are shown). When I disconnect and try to reconnect, my network isn't listed, but if I select "0 [Blank]" it reconnects to my Wifi network (again showing the network name and IP). I know I was able to earn an in-game achievement last night after I first submitted the post, so I think the Wifi is working.
I just tried going to Raspi-Config -> Update, but I got the following error message: "There was an error running option 8 Update"

So I think I figured this out...
I had to run the following two commands in the RetroPie setup screen (per the instructions here - https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper)
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential qt5-defaultOnce I did that, I was able to install skyscraper "from source" in the optional packages section.
Now if only I could figure out why it didn't scrape any images/videos...a problem for tomorrow.
