RETROPIE ON RPI4 doesn't start any games or Retropie option

Hi,

For the fith times since december, I tried to play games in my RPI4 - 4GB, but after no error on the installation process I'm not able to start games or Retropie option as file manager,audio, bluetooth....

When I start a game or a Retropie option, I see next the debian desktop and next it come back to the retropie from where I started, without any error

I did the Raspbian install from Raspbian download page and followed the manual install from Retropie. I start Emulstation from the RUN Menu.

I didn't reported my issue before as I did it with the release for RPi3 , but now with the release for RP4 I have the same issu.

We don't support Retropie/EmulationStation running from a desktop session - you are running EmulationStation incorrectly.
Install RetroPie correctly or stop the X11/Desktop session and start EmulationStation from the console terminal.

Great Thanks, it's working well. I really missed this part.

I followed the instruction from Retropie Manual Installation but I though that the chapter about "Boot to Emulstation" was not mandatory. However it is and that's fine now.

I'm having the exact same trouble as the person above. Can you elaborate on how to do what you explained?

@jtkblue nvm, going to just create a new image on a new sd card which should fix it.
