      Have you tried disabling the HDMI output or disconnecting the HDMI display ?

        @mitu is there a way to force it instead of switching to hdmi in config

          @mitu yep, doesnt change a thing, nor leaving hdmi off for whole process, loads fine then black screen

            Try adding to your config.txt:

            enable_dpi_lcd=1
            display_default_lcd=1
            

            If that doesn't work, then please post the config.txt file.

                  Glad you got it working.
                  For future reference (just in case someone has the same problem), can you post your config.txt file ?

                      @ryan-spicer seems to work but doesnt load all the title screen headers etc properly, in saying that it does play the games I've tried, not perfect but close :)

                        @ryan-spicer changed the theme to a more basic theme - carbon, and its working great, stoked
