      Hi, i have a raspberry-pi 4 with re-dream installed.
When i play a game there will be audio stutter when the display is full of explosions ( animated sprites ).

Normally on a real dreamcast the audio wont stutter on slowdown,
the slowdown is there in the original when you defeat the boss, it is normal.
Only on this pi4 my sound goes stutter.

      Why is that ?
Is the audio not on a different core ?
Is this how the emulation-station works ?, or the emulators itself ?
Does other emulators also have stutter in the sound ?

With enough processing-power, will the graphical-slowdown disapear ?
      Original it should be there.

What do you think ?, can it be solved in the future ?
      thanks

@wild-snail said in Audio stutter on slowdown ?:

        Why is that ?

That means emulation is not full speed and the system is not fast enough to emulate the game.

Is this how the emulation-station works ?, or the emulators itself ?

EmulationStation is just a front-end for launching your games, it doesn't do the actual emulation, that's done by each emulator.

What do you think ?, can it be solved in the future ?

That's a general question - what game is it ? You can try running it in a lower resolution - via the runcommand launch menu - or see if Redream has an option to lower its internal resolution.
