    Custom video splash doesn't always play

      I use retropie-mount on a USB drive, but I could never get video splash to run from USB, presumably because the drive wasn't spinning up in time, so I fired up the Pi without the USB drive connected, copied my splash video to home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens, plugged USB drive back in and it's worked ever since...

      ...until today when I created my own video. It's an mp4. Weirdly, when I first set it and reboot it plays perfectly, but is just skipped on subsequent reboots.

      As an aside, when using retropie-mount, where actually IS home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens on the SD card? I can only see its contents when the USB drive is disconnected, otherwise I see the USB mirror which is empty.

      Pi 4B 4GB
      PSU: LABISTS 5.1V 3A
      SD: SanDisk Extreme 32 GB for OS
      USB: 2.0 - Wired keyboard / Plugable Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, 3.0 - Crucial MX300 275GB SSD in Novatech caddy for ROMS
      Controllers: 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ / 8bitdo SFC30
      RetroPie: 4.6 official
