How can I play Pong on RetroPie with 2 Arcade Spinners
-
This has been driving me crazy. I've tried everything.
Arcade Spinners only work in AdvanceMame or lr-mame2003 (No Pong playable there - that I know of)Arcade Spinners also work in Atari Stella - So I can play Video Olympics on there. But for some reason, 1 of my spinners works in reverse. And no matter what setting I change in Stella, it either doesn't work at all, or both spinners don't work. Or at least 1 spinner, player 1 or 2 go the wrong direction. Really tried every variation I can think of. I also thought that maybe I need to update to the latest version of the stand alone Stella. But I don't know how to do that manually. I've read every forum, tried everything I could think of.
I even tried rewiring my Arcade Spinner cables to the 12-1 USB. I thought switching the data cables would work. Turns out for the spinner to work, it only needs 1 data cable. Yellow to be exact. So that didn't help either.
Ultimate Pong on Intelevision would be awesome. But spinners are not supported.
I've gone to my last resorts here. Just donated to the Atari Stella project, and e-mailed the developers for help.
I just want to play some version of pong or pong clone on my retropie with 2 spinners in my cocktail setup. There has to be something.
Any help here would be hot! Thanks everyone! -
@mrbigreddog if you're not particular to the version of pong, might I recommend pong for ps1. Here's a video link,
Since it's PlayStation, the spinner shouldn't be an issue , plus there's a few modes to pick from. -
- That's definitely some spins on Pong. Good vid. Great version.
- Is there a way to steady the constantly moving screen?
- Is four player support available?
- Wow, those credits are long.
- This looks like a great title to add to my cabinet!

@IanDaemon I never played it myself but I stumbled on it one time and looks interesting
