      Hi everyone,

I seem to be having trouble installing reicast. I get this error when I try:

      "Could not install package(s): python-dev python-pip alsa-oss."

I'm running RetroPie 4.6.4 on Ubuntu 20.02 LTS.

I think has been fixed some time ago - are you sure you're on version 4.6.4 ? lr-flycast should be preferred on a PC installation, but reicast should be installable also.

Update your RetroPie-Setup script and see if installation from source works.

That worked! Reicast is now installed, although I'm just getting booted back to the gamelist when trying to launch a game using either flycast or reicast. I'll try and troubleshoot that problem now.

          Thanks mitu

@goestohollywood Check if you have the right BIOS files copied to the right location.

I have dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin placed at /home/RetroPie/BIOS/dc. I see under the Docs that it's supposed to be at /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/dc, but is that the same for Ubuntu? My PSX BIOS files are located at /home/RetroPie/BIOS/ and work fine.

Normally, the BIOS folder is set to $HOME/RetroPie/BIOS, so even if you're on Ubuntu, they shouldn't be under /home/RetroPie/BIOS. Is your Ubuntu user named 'RetroPie' ?

My user is "hollywoodarcade", so everything's located here: /home/hollywoodarcade/RetroPie

I'm guessing I'm probably in the wrong directory
