Did you modify the default
config.txt
from your Pi image ? -
@mitu I set the gpu_mem to 256, but I think that's it unless something else modified it. Here's the full file: https://pastebin.com/FpyhtXU1

@Ninjinka That's not the default RPI image
config.txt
- did you install anything else ? The issue is that thevc4-fkms-v3d
overlay is commented out and this disables the Pi4 GPU drivers. You need to enable it back to have a working RetroPie installation on the Pi4.If you're just starting with RetroPie or Raspbian, I recommend using the RetroPie image for installation. It's based on Raspbian Lite, so you still have Raspbian available.

@mitu Yeah I installed this LCD driver, maybe that's the issue? http://www.lcdwiki.com/4inch_HDMI_Display-C#How_to_use_Raspbian.2FUbuntu_Mate.2FKali.2FRetropie_system I will try uncommenting the vc4-fkms-v3d. Thanks!

Ok apparently there is a compatibility issue with the display driver, because if I uncomment that the display doesn't work. They have drivers that are compatible with Retropie on the Rpi3 but not the Rpi4 yet. I guess I'll reach out to them and see if they have a solution
